The Grammys are a pretty exciting time of the year, when artists in the music industry are recognized for their hard work and exceptional talent. Now that electronic music is such a huge part of the music industry as a whole, there has been a lot more recognition to the players in the scene. Chris Herrera, AKA Channel Surfer, has been added to the ranks of the Grammys voting group.
Chris Herrera has been an electronic artist in the PNW for over a decade, under the moniker Channel Surfer. He also is the front man of a rock group with heavy electronic influences named Station to Station, and the owner of Televisionary Records. Chris has worked with such artists as Andy Moor, KJ Sawka, DJ Dan, Sean Tyas, Gabriel & Dresden, Rubicon 7 and many more. He has also had tracks appear on the worlds biggest labels like Armada, Perfecto, and Discover.

Chris was contacted by the PNW Recording Academy, which is the Northwest branch of the Grammys, and asked to submit an application and complete a discography. Apparently the Grammys had been monitoring his work for some time. Chris is pleased to announce that his application was accepted because of his “excellence in Electronic Dance Music.” This is not only an awesome step in Chris’s career, but a big nod for the Northwest scene.
