Festival season is quickly approaching, and it’s easy to get caught up in preparations for EDC, Paradiso, Shambhala, and the multitude of other events about to take place. All those expenses add up rapidly, though, leaving you financially unable to satisfy your need for dance music. Fortunately, Covert Ops has you covered. The crew is putting on Parke Diem, a free show in Volunteer Park, on June 6th from 12:00pm-9:00pm![pullquote]”It is our goal to create an open, positive and collaborative space for all members of the electronic music community to come together and enjoy each other’s company, art, and music all in the incredible setting of Volunteer Park.” [/pullquote]
This is not your typical free show. Covert Ops ran almost a hundred events in the greater Seattle area, and this is the fifth edition of Parke Diem. It’s a concert with a rich history, but also one run by experienced event organizers—and they’re about to throw an incredible show.
With one look at the lineup, it’s obvious that the caliber of Parke Diem is far beyond what you’d expect at a free show. Industry heavyweights like Jimni Cricket, Dirty Byrds, and more will spin numerous styles of EDM. Those not drawn to DJs, but rather just to quality sound, will be in for a treat as well. Parke Diem blasts high-fidelity beats via a booming Turbosound system; one complete with four dual 18” folded horn subwoofers and four 3-way mid/hi Turbosound Floodlight speakers.
In layman’s terms, it’s going to be freaking awesome.
