In the Northwest, we have quite a few gifts that we tend to enjoy this time of year. Great weather, incredible venues, and the ability to attract many of music’s top acts, have made the Northwest one of North America’s premier locations come festival season. Whether it’s Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or British Columbia, we’ve been blessed with more than a few great locales for enjoying friends, family, and music. But, scenic landscapes and willing attendees is only half the battle. Without the artists, the festivals we know and love would cease to exist, and much of the rich musical history that has been cultivated throughout decades of experiences and performances would be lost.
Luckily, we got artists. Lots of them. From rock to country to dance music and beyond, the Northwest music fan has a ridiculous menu of musical treats to choose from, at a variety of locations. The Gorge, for example, features not only Paradiso Festival and SASQUATCH! Festival, but Watershed Festival, Sam Smith, the Foo Fighters, and of course, Dave Matthews Band this summer.
Beyond the Northwest’s premier venue lies dozens of other festivals in locations throughout our corner of the country. So, we broke down seven Northwest summer festival lineups for 2015 that jump out a bit more than the rest.

We’d also like to mention a few other festivals that didn’t make the list for various reasons. Like Boise’s Treefort Music Festival, which only didn’t make the list because it’s already happened. Treefort 2015, one of the most diverse and creative festivals in the Northwest each year, featured TV on the Radio, Random Rab, Magic Sword and more for their late-March gathering. We also left Paradiso 2015 off of the list, since the headliners are the only artists currently announced for EDM’s premier Northwest festival.
Another Northwest festival favorite that didn’t make the cut was Bumbershoot, also due to the lack of a lineup. Although their official site seems to be down at the moment, the official Facebook page recently added a new photo with the date ‘4.29.15’. What that date means, exactly, nobody knows. But if you’re interested in attending Bumbersoot later this year, you’ll want to be on the lookout next Thursday.
UPDATE: We have a Bumbershoot lineup. Man, do we have a Bumbershoot lineup. Check it out, below.
