One of the more intricate works of music we’ve heard in a while, Mat Zo’s remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” simply stuns. Taking off with a futuristic, robotic vocal effect and a heavy, building intro, Mat Zo breaks it down into a soft, echo-filled verse. The calming chords envelop a slower, more natural, raw Ellie vocal; Its authentic beauty even more powerful than the original. The song picks back up, re-introducing the retro effects, and finally drops into a free-for-all dance party. This track is greatly worth a listen, and Mat Zo once again earns our respect as a pushing-the-limit producer, and one heck of a remixer.
