The year 2014 was a busy year for French artist Klingande. He recently kicked off his first North American tour, and even made a stop in Seattle at The Crocodile. Originally inspired by sounds from Swedish House Mafia, Klingande’s sounds range from tropical house to nearly electro. Tropical house is a genre that has quickly gained popularity with recent shows like Thomas Jack at The Crocodile and Kygo at the Neptune, with both selling out their respective venues.
His latest release is a collaboration with Broken Back and it’s called RIVA (Restart the Game). It has a preview release on SoudCloud and it’s just released today. For those of you that have listened to his previous single Jubel already know what to expect: Carefully layered melodies and some sweet sexy saxophone. The song is a little faster than that track, but it still has great melodic house and saxophone. Given how busy he has been on tour, we’re happy about anything he releases; hopefully we will have him back in the States again sooner rather than later.
