Say what you will about EDM fans, we are a bunch that when motivated can pull together to get some pretty cool stuff done. The latest move by Red Rocks Amphitheater had EDM fans upset as it essentially meant the music we want to hear can’t be played at the volume it was meant to by our favorite DJs. Well, as the phrase goes, hell hath no fury like a raver scorned, so to change.org a fellow EDM fan went to try to overturn the noise ban.
Currently the signature count is just above 15,000, but we know that there are tens of thousands who love Red Rocks and want to either be able to continue enjoying EDM there or go for their first experience. There have been some epic shows there that we would be very sad to never be able to experience again. EDM, beyond being our favorite genre, is a huge money-making force and venues who don’t support EDM stand to miss out on a lot of earning potential. The same is true of the businesses in the surrounding area. Whatever your reason is for supporting EDM at Red Rocks we strongly encourage you to sign the petition. The more people who sign the stronger of a message we can send.
The petition is currently available at change.org, and we suggest you sign sooner rather than later. Comments are a fantastic way to explain just why having EDM at Red Rocks means so much to you. Just remember to keep it PLUR and prove how amazing ravers and EDM fans are!
Sign the petition here and let’s show why Red Rocks and EDM are a perfect match.
