On what would’ve been Jim Morrison‘s 71st birthday (December 8th), Bobby Nourmand had something very special up his sleeve. Bobby Nourmand released his remix of Peace Frog, that was originally written by classic rock group, The Doors. Due to the classic status of Peace Frog, very few musicians are likely willing to take on the challenge of recreating a rock masterpiece. For Bobby Nourmand, it seems like second nature.
Bobby Nourmand’s remix of Peace Frog is simply magical. Deep house is making a huge progression and there is no better time for Bobby Nourmand to take the reigns than by remixing classic tracks. He is willing to take chances and explore different realms within dance music, breathing new life in old classics.
With the full Resolution lineup just recently announced, there’s hope we may soon see all kinds of acts, like Bobby Nourmand, in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has experienced new genres within dance music and has fully embraced them. Other cities like Spokane, Boise, and Portland have recently started experiencing these new sounds and beats. We are very excited to see what 2015 has in store for our ears.
