In the wake of FreakNight’s Day 2 cancellation, perhaps the question on everyone’s minds the last month has been whether or not WaMu Theater was lost to the Seattle rave scene for good. For weeks, there was genuine worry surrounding the possibility of a move south to the Tacoma Dome for future massives, especially given some less than positive depictions in our local mainstream media. Now though, our worries can be put to rest just in time for Thanksgiving: Resolution will be returning to WaMu once again.
The controversy of FreakNight is still fresh on our minds, as many of us remember being turned away at the gates following a death that took place during the first day of festivities. Since then, a big question mark has floated above our collective heads as we’ve pondered the fate of a venue the PNW rave scene realistically can’t go without. Now that it’s been returned to us though, it’s our responsibility to remember to be safe, take care of each other, and first and foremost remember that the ball is in our court now, as the eyes of the city will be fixed directly on us come New Year’s Eve.
In addition to the news of WaMu hosting Resolution, we’re also going to get our first artist announced on December 1st, with tickets set to go on sale two days later. For full details, check the full announcement below and join the Facebook event page here.
