Brian Transeau, better known as BT, has teamed up with producer Tommy Tallerico to produce an Electronic Opus where he will be rendering all of his music and some new music with a live symphony. BT is well-known for the amazing talent that he has as a musician and technologist, and has the accolades to show for it. But it seems that every time he approaches a record company or producer to get this project off of the ground, they would deny him his dreams and quite literally laugh in his face. So now, BT is looking to his fans for support on this project. He has started a Kickstarter for the project, with some awesome and unique prizes. One of those prizes includes a personalized track that he will compose just for you!
This big dream of mine is to combine the depth and subtlety, the power of a live orchestra with electronics and electronic music.
This wouldn’t be the first time an artist from the electronica domain has performed their music with a symphony. Paul Van Dyke took on the challenge with the HR Orchestra in Frankfurt, and Nero teamed up with the BBC Philharmonic to produce Nero’s Dubstep Symphony. Above & beyond even had an acoustic show in London and LA that were highly successful and are revered by many.
You can check out his Kickstarter page and watch the video that he has put together, as well as listen to some unfinished renderings of what he plans to perform. BT has also promised a live show during Miami Music Week on March 29th. This will be a project that definitely reflects the spirit of our community because we are all so interconnected and we can all be partners in producing beauty. Will you be contributing to BTs Electronic Opus?
