The PNW has been getting no shortage of love this year from tyDi. We got the chance to get a piece of his thoughts earlier this year and can’t wait to see him again. Between his epic February 14th show at the Showbox Sodo, the beautiful A Picture Of I Miss You track that he made as a special treat for us on the plane ride to Seattle, and the rumors that he’ll be coming back at the end of October, we’re thrilled. tyDi always puts on an excellent show partly because it’s clear from the crowd that he is reveling in every second up on stage.
When you met her, cold chills sent your heart racing. Eyes crossed paths, you froze. Moments like these get caught through real songs!

Will a ‘bounce’, ‘banger’, or any other mindless beat EVER take you back to the places so bitterwseet in your heart?

tyDi usually isn’t as outspoken on Twitter as other artists such as Deadmau5, but yesterday he took to Twitter to talk about the feelings he tries to capture in his tracks. What we love about tyDi is that he wasn’t firing shots at any specific artist. He was speaking out on the importance of the emotions he captures as well as the craftsmanship that goes into accurately instilling those emotions in the hearts of those who get to hear his music. For some, it is very easy to dismiss EDM as just something that’s played in a club for kids on drugs to bounce around to, yet this is a beautiful reminder that EDM producers are just as legitimate as a composer behind a grand piano.
Do not ever forget REAL music, REAL songwriting, REAL lyrics, BEAUTIFUL chords…. Music that cuts deep. That’s why I do this. It’s my dream
