After the unfortunate medical emergencies and deaths at Paradiso 2013, to say this year’s event was under a microscope would be an understatement. Thankfully USC took a proactive approach and brought in the expertise of Edwin Reyes as Health and Safety Director of USC Events. Edwin’s experience includes helping to coordinate the security and safety for EDC so it is safe to say this isn’t his first rodeo.
He was kind enough to let us have a post-Paradiso chat with him to discuss what happened and what we can look forward to for next year. His passion for safety came through very clearly, but it was also apparent that he too enjoys festivals, albeit from a different perspective than most of us.
