Earlier today, electronic vocalist Haley posted an in-the-studio photo, hinting at what we hope is the start of a new album. Her last album, All This Love, was released in September of 2010, and even though she’s blessed other beautiful house tracks outside of her own work in the last couple years, we can never seem to ever get enough of Haley.
That “bespectacled” face is none other than Late Night Alumni‘s John Hancock, which sets the tone of our assumed album for star-studded expectations. For those of you who already love Haley, this is news we’ve been longing to hear. And for those who may not know who Haley is, trust us – you do, you just may not know you do. Does Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s collaborative hits I Remember and Move For Me ring a bell? Haley has been electronic music’s angelic vocalist since Kaskade discovered her voice back in the earlier 2000’s. From there, a brilliant blend of Kaskade’s progressive sounds and Haley’s entrancing lyrics and vocals set the stage for what would be a phenomenal future of vocal house. Haley’s singer/songwriter talents can be heard on every Kaskade album since, including Dynasty‘s title-track, on Fire & Ice‘s Llove, and most recently, on his latest album Atmosphere, the ambient track Floating. We are crossing our fingers and saying our prayers to the music gods that our theory is correct, and that Haley’s next album is the revitalizing, therapeutic dance collection that electronic music has been eagerly awaiting.
