Trance is alive and well in Seattle, as the ever popular Foundation Nightclub opened it’s doors last Saturday to an eager crowd of fans to see none other than UK’s famous Ilan Bluestone. The Anujabeats artist made his Seattle debut to a sold out venue of enthusiastic and excited patrons that danced the night away into the early morn. Over the last year, the London-based producer has literally gone from an unknown newcomer to one of the most promising new acts to hit the trance scene.
Upon entering Foundation Nightclub, folks were already huddled on the dance floor, swaying to the heavy beats of locals Gravity Lift. The duo got the crowd going as the venue started to quickly fill early on in the evening. The energy was already high and we could tell we were in for one exciting show.
PNW legend Johnny Monsoon was next to hit the decks and of course never fails to impress. His sheer passion for the music truly shows whenever he takes the stage. With heart-pounding progressive house blaring through the speakers, not a soul wasn’t dancing, smiling, and just overall having one hell of a time.
It wasn’t before long that we realized just how many people were packed into the venue patiently awaiting our beloved headliner Ilan. It was certainly a sold-out show, as we hadn’t seen that kind of a turn out in quite some time (even with Life in Color happening that same night over in Tacoma). What can we say for sure: Seattle loves their trance! As the pivotal moment arrived, Ilan Bluestone took his position front and center to a insanely loud group all cheering and screaming in enjoyment. Hands were raised, and people were happy. For an hour and a half we didn’t stop dancing.
Highlight of the evening was when Ilan played his hit Fire,Fire,Fire as the entire crowd was singing along in unison. Needless to say it was a pretty epic moment. It’s pretty obvious that Ilan has a remarkable fanbase here in the states and we can’t wait for his next Northwest appearance!
