Matchbox Orchestra’s new track One Fine Day featuring RJ Duke is a nice laid back mix perfect for lounging around. The melodic intro calms you as it transports you to a serene place. Yet, it will also awaken you with its jazzy bass that has you swaying side to side.
Throughout the song he intertwines the piano, giving the track more soul and added depth. Combined with his provoking lyrics, it paints images of someone waiting for the return of a friend, trapped by loneliness and longing to be complete once again. His story of a lost friendship is a sad but hopeful tribute to what the future might bring. The song is a good way to start off any day as it tugs on your heart strings.
