As the calendar fades from August to September, and the reality of summer’s end begins to set in, we always seem to crave just one more artistic escape before we accept the turning of the seasons. This is our interpretation of the reasoning behind Bumbershoot, Seattle Central’s premiere art and music festival. With multiple outdoor stages, art exhibits, comedy shows, and all of the food trucks imaginable, Bumbershoot has so much to offer in it’s 3-day span across Labor Day weekend, making for one festive hoorah to the finale of summer. Tonight, Bumbershoot has officially released the musical acts set to take the stages, so check them out below; the end of summer doesn’t seem so bad, after all…

Bumbershoot, now in it’s 44th year, has earned it’s ranking as Seattle’s most eclectic annual festival. This year marks a special announcement, as they set to move the mainstage outdoors, back to Memorial Stadium as it once was. After listening to a few years of complaints about excessive lines, wait time and limited capacity inside the Key Arena, the Bumbershoot team has taken those considerations into account and expect this year to run much more smoothly. While we awaits the EDM at EMP announcements, we suggest getting your tickets now, as there’s no telling when that will be released. Stay tuned..
Individual and 3-day tickets are available on the Official Bumbershoot Website.
