Afrojack’s Ten Feet Tall is getting a brand new twist from French house giant, David Guetta. If you listen closely to the introduction, you might think Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Otherside is going to strike up. However, Guetta fakes out his listeners by taking them back to the year 2000 in the beginning of the song and then back to 2014 with the electro addition to the punchy rhythms of Ten Feet Tall (incidentally the track features no credit for RHCP despite it appearing to be a straight use of the Otherside sample).
The vocalist featured on Ten Feet Tall, Wrabel, will release his first album on Island Records in 2014. The original track was featured on the Bud Light commercial that was aired during Super Bowl XLVIII heard by 100 million people across the country. With an audience this big, Wrabel hit the top charts before even releasing an album. With the additional remixes of Ten Feet Tall coming out, it will be interesting to see how fast the singer/songwriter’s album and career take off. Make sure to stay connected for the latest from Afrojack, David Guetta, and the up-and-coming Wrabel.
