When Dutch youngsters Martin Garrix & Jay Hardway collaborated and released Wizard last November, people went ape shit. We see this happen a lot when two major producers get together and drop a track, people react like their favorite celebrity couple just had child. Despite Wizard ranking high on charts all over Europe and in the U.S., people felt it sounded similar to Martin’s global hit Animals…which caused an epidemic we are all still trying to recover from. But if there is anyone that can transform a track, completely redefine it’s genre with impeccable finesse and top-notch production skills, it’s Tchami.
The Parisian DJ/producer is on the rise in 2014, pioneering his way into new frontiers of deep house, dubbing his genre on Soundcloud as “Future House”. Mixing vocals and heavy basslines, Tchami’s remixes have an impossibly infectious groove in which Oliver Heldens or Duke Dumont fans will submerge into with pleasure. We’ve just indulged in another dose of Tchami as SPRS (Spinnin) just released Wizard (The Remixes), a mixtape containing 4 remixes of Martin’s Wizard. The mixtape features 4 class acts: Tchami, Mike Hawkins, Yellawolf, and Tom & Jame. Be sure to catch Tchami as he will be embarking to U.S. soil with a performance at Sasqautch! Festival in July.
