Red Lights is that big room track suited perfectly for any festival mainstage. With its singalong-worthy vocals, gorgeous instrumental builds, and major-chord-infused drops, it’s the quintessential stadium anthem. That being so, any time an artist takes on a Tiësto track for a remix, there’s always going to be some pretty high standards to live up to. Up to the task though was 16 year old New York product ZAXX.
With a minimal, hands-off approach to the build (with the exception of some well-placed piano plinks), ZAXX drops Red Lights into a dark, dirty canyon more suited for a 2am warehouse party than a festival. Coming up for air soon thereafter, it throws the listener back into vocal beauty before descending once more into the throws of music reminiscent of artists with decades of experience. The future looks bright for this teenaged dynamo who’s already received support from the likes of Hardwell and Victor Niglio.
