More than ever we wish we could teleport. Imagine hitting every show and concert in the world in the blink of an eye. We especially would love to hit the shores of Australia where new and progressive music seems to be pouring out of the country. 2013 has been good to us. Out of Australia, Future Classic has brought us gems like Flume, Touch Sensitive, Flight Facilities, and What So Not. For being so far across seas, they’ve done an amazing job blowing up in the Northwest. We even met Flume and learned a little bit about his life back home in AU.
With more than thirty signed acts, Future Classic satisfies just about anyone’s tastes. Overflowing with new-wave pioneers, it’s no wonder the label is internationally supported. This isn’t your ordinary record label either. FC also encircles touring, licensing, a monthly podcast, and two weekly club nights In Sydney.Progressive, innovative, creative; words that are music to our ears, literally. It’s not often one comes across a plethora of brilliant producers in one sitting, but we aaure you that the Future Classic Record label can provide just that.
The skilled Aussie musicians who are a step ahead of the mainstream are taking over the Sydney Town Hall with Future Classic x Sydney Festival. Featuring some of the most popular Future Classic artists, the concert will also include New York’s Jacques Renault. After numerous sold-out appearances on Australian soil and international record deals, Jacques has gifted the world original and remix works of all sorts of big name artists. Wave Racer, Touch Sensitive, and numerous Future Classic DJs will be bringing the house down with well…House. Sexy House, Deep House, Funky House; you name it.
This is one of those “we wish we could go” moments, but we will be linking the live show for those who also wish they could have made it. Future Classic is blowing up all over the world. We can’t wait for more innovative and danceable tunes. Thank you to the sunshine continent for the amazing music and keep em’ coming!
