If 2013 marked the rise of the MegaMen, in 2014 the Belgian trio will actually start toppling some buildings. Last year when the world was introduced to the three superheroes, they only had one song and some mixtapes. Now there seems to be evidence we can examine to decide if these guys are indeed EDM saviors.
The members of MegaMen consist of: Belgian Duo MOONFLOWER and Producer extraordinaire Guy’do. Together they all form MegaMen. Assembling to protect the galaxy against stuffy dance music. The tremendous three, ready at the helm of destiny and set to protect the world, are about to release their Dim Mak Records debut. MaxiMus, out January 28th, is positioned to take down the top figure of the modern electro house movement. MaxiMus unleashes massive drums and a thrilling barrage of synth stabs. Each stab, produces powerful giant monster attacks that could obliterate any target.
All throughout 2013, these nobel super saviors, spent their time diligently distributing some of the most interesting progressive house music tracks available on the net. MAGO, the trio’s first single release, is an outstanding achievement. Starting off with a sample of Tibetian throat singing, the track stays at a level of sonically pleasing, rave ready dance music. The looped chanting vocal sample fits with the song’s asteroid crushing bass weight and adds philosophical texture to the song that could draw in any listener.
MAGO exhilarates the body of listener and tickles their imaginations. It could very well be humanities last audible warcry during an overpowering alien invasion. However, since that warrior yell the MegaMen have kept suspiciously quiet. Only dropping a couple mixtapes to sooth cries from their fans which proceeded to astound. Now this trio has two songs in their arsenal. Hopefully they’ll be able to create more, there’s a lot of evil out there.
