Sample Jack Remixes Daft Punk’s ‘Doin’ It Right’

French duo Sample Jack, also known as Aymeric and Nicolas, take on the difficult task of remixing Daft Punk’s original Doin’ It Right. Hailing from a country where strong producers like Dirtyphonics and Daft Punk themselves call home, everyone should have high expectations of any and all music that comes from there. We are happy to report that Sample Jack gives this laid-back track some pep in it’s step, without over-riding the original’s signature groove. The duo does give the beat an awesome punch of percussion, adding in a funky beat and a guitar solo that only adds to the original’s appeal. And instead of a seemingly evened out structure of Daft Punk‘s version, Sample Jack gives their remix variety, builds and breaks, and an overall solid rendition of the legendary comeback track.

While we may be biased to say that City 17’s remix is still our favorite, there have been plenty of runner-ups that simply cannot be overlooked. And after this remix, we have definitely got our eyes and ears close to anything Sample Jack has in store for the future, and we are always happy to welcome new, rising French talent to our music stream.
