Sorting through all the Shambhala set times and stage conflicts

With festival season in full swing, electronic and bass music fans are preparing for one of our favorite events of the season. The 25th annual Shambhala Music Festival is just weeks away and with an already star-studded lineup, we are now excited to share with you the performers for each of the seven one-of-a-kind stages.

As we return to what Shambhala regulars refer to as “the farm”, we look forward to some of our favorite sights and sounds in the scenic forest of Salmo, British Columbia. Just a few miles from the US-Canada border and located on the beautiful Salmo River, these 500-acre festival grounds hold several permanent art installations that have become iconic in the international EDM community. To accompany these stages, Shambhala features their trademark PK sound systems that bring incredible volume and clarity

Starting with the AMP stage, we can expect a ton of upcoming and well-established artists from the experimental bass, deep dub, and wook bass scene. From Thursday to Sunday, you can see performances from acts like Pigeon Hole, Tsuruda, Ahee, Gentlemens Club, Ternion Sound, Peekaboo, G Jones, Eprom, Moore Kismet, Tape B, Saka, and many more.

Next up we have the Living Room, a more intimate stage located parallel to the Salmo river. Here we can enjoy performances from Shambhala’s nontraditional electronic and acoustic artists. Throughout the weekend you can experience acts like Meowmix, Hoola, Glitch Mob, Tipper, Moontricks, LSDream, Z-Trip, and Wajatta featuring Reggie Watts & John Tejada, and morning Yoga with Celeste.

For those of us returning to Shambhala, nothing quite matches seeing the crown jewel of the farm, the Fractal Forest. This 360-degree stage has always been a feast for the eyes and ears with a plethora of decorations, lights, and speakers. Be ready to see some Shambs favorites and newcomers including The Funk Hunters, Freddy J, Chromeo, Stickybuds, Wax Motif, Dillon Francis, Bijou, and many more.

The Grove has always been a tried and true spot to see your favorite performers or the next big thing, and this year is no different. The Grove will be bringing the wubs and wonks from around the world with DJs like Sundog, The Librarian, Dbridge, Moontricks, James Blake, Shlomo, Yetz, Bonobo, and Frameworks.

Many of us would call this stage the focal point of the festival. Some of the biggest names in EDM have had their career highlights here, at the Pagoda. This house-structured stage will be bringing us a lot more than just house music. With performances from Chris Lorenzo, Matroda, Dr. Fresch, Destructo, Disclosure, Disco Lines, Zingara, Clozee, Barclay Crenshaw, and Koan Sound, we are ready for a weekend we won’t soon forget.

For the heavy bass crowd, look no further than The Village. From Friday to Sunday The Village stage will be hosting some of the biggest and best acts in bass music including Stylust, Friction, Excision, Dion Timmer, Ahee, Wolfy Lights Featuring KJ Sawka, Hedex, Dimension, and Subtronics.

If you can find it, The Secret Garden is a great stage to find some of the best underground artists and secret sets from some of EDMs biggest names. Artists playing at the Secret Garden include Lil Bones, El Toro, Mr. Wu, Ashez, Fabula, Abstrakt Sonance, Versa, and Okiro.
