What an insane show! If you were lucky enough to attend this sold-out show on Saturday, September 2, at Substation you might still be recovering like us! Da Tweekaz truly brought the energy all the way from Europe for a night of hardcore and hardstyle. We were so happy to finally see them in person, and at one of the best venues in the city!
Incredible laser and visual display. Well done Substation; we are very excited about future events here, including Virtual Riot on Thursday, September 28! We heard that tickets are running low, make sure to snag yours here!
Wow, what a packed and sold-out crowd that came ready for a night of hardstyle! We appreciated the openers not playing any hardstyle and hardcore, leaving it to the main event. Instead, we were treated with techno, hard techno from IN_DUAL, Adastra, and it me. Almost like a palette cleanser before the wild and amazing spectacle Da Tweekaz delivered for us in Seattle. Still cannot believe they made the stop here in Seattle, before going back to Europe for more mayhem!
Substation had two big Gatarode-style water coolers near the back, which was awesome since the main room was hot as fuck (our only complaint!). Two separate bathrooms, and crowded lines at the times you would expected (right before Da Tweekaz went on). Pro tip, no one uses the bathrooms when the main event is on. Best time to quickly use one and slip right back in!
We were vibing out, jumping up and down, and very grateful for anyone near us with a fan! Fans are so important, every rave group needs one fanner and a backup, too; or, take turns! We were drenched in our own sweat, but didn’t care since the music took over! Da Tweekaz played all of their recent hits, including Lambada (Your Love), One Night in Bangkok, debuted new music with W&W Kriss Kross, and of course Can Can!
We were lucky enough to get an autograph and picture with the legends; they were so kind! And although they appeared exhausted after a previous night of B2Bs with Gammer and Lil Texas, their energy was simply amazing. Closing the night with a hardstyle remix of The Backstreet Boys’ I Want it That Way was simply madness. Highly recommend catching Da Tweekaz sometime in your life, but meanwhile be sure to check out one of the awesome upcoming shows at Substation!
