Inzo’s incredible vibes stir in Seattle at Showbox Sodo (DMNW Review)

After waiting longer than we thought we would for our stop on the Earth Magic tour, it was finally our time to see Inzo shine in Seattle. It was more than worth the wait.

The snow stopped us from getting our eyes on Inzo back in February, so we were happy to get a new date in a bigger venue. Inzo was previously set to play Seattle at Neumos but moved to Showbox Sodo when forced to cancel months back. Despite Showbox Sodo being a sizable capacity upgrade from Neumos, Inzo managed to sell out once again.

Openers

We had a lineup of some sick openers for Inzo that night. Opening artists included Solstis, Dreamers Delight, and Rome in Silver.

Solstis is a duo of local Seattle artists Brandon Myers and Andres Garcia. They take pride in putting their spin on 90’s classics and pop hits and give them a chill, downtempo electronic twist. Their set smoothly eased into a night of chill bass vibes.

Up next we had Dreamers Delight, who also happens to share a home with Inzo. As an up-and-coming bass artist, Dreamers Delight has his unique downtempo sound that keeps on giving funky beats. We were pleased to be led into more groovy vibes with this set as the space bass continued. His set ended up being our personal favorite of the opener lineup.

Taking the stage next was Rome In Silver, another chill downtempo artist to keep the vibe flowing. His set was packed with remixes and originals, and each tune was just as funky as the next. The energy picked up along with the tempo of the set, and overall it was a great mix of higher bpm and groovy future bass.

Inzo takes the stage

From the first song, we were enamored with Inzo’s performance that night. From the variety in style and tempo to the finely tuned visuals, the production efforts spent were more than clear. Inzo and his whole team were ready to give it their all to close out a monumental tour run.

Inzo didn’t hold back and played all his hits, along with plenty of new and even unreleased music. He even threw some house music in there just for fun! His bigger hits like the track Angst, for example, were the ones he went all out for. Putting new spins on melodies and throwing in new drops kept the crowd cheering all night.

Inzo usually tends to close out with his all-time greatest hit track, OverthinkerThe song is the root of his claim to fame, so it’s no surprise to see him put so much emotion into performing such a meaningful song. Many of us were in tears of joy by the end of the night, including Inzo himself.

After thanking his team and the crowd, we thought the night had come to an end. As always, the crowd yearned for one more song. Instead of just one, we got another 15 minutes of music! Inzo jumped back on the decks until almost 1:30 am after the originally scheduled 1:10 am end time, and it was more than we could’ve ever hoped for.

Dreamers Delight and Rome in Silver both came back out during the encore to play some of their collabs with Inzo, and the music just kept going. Inzo is so dedicated to his fanbase and it warms our hearts.

Vibes made to last

As expected with a sold-out show, the crowd was a little packed, and we noticed a bit more pushing than we’re used to. The crowd did seem to lean more towards the younger side, so we just felt some extra responsibility in helping to promote the PLUR. All in all, we had a magical night in Seattle with Inzo. The euphoric vibe of his sound was enough to overcome all irritabilities and dance the night away nonetheless.

We’re still reeling over that set, and can’t wait for him to get back to the PNW for Bass Canyon later this summer!
