Bloom Nightclub announces close to home Shambhala pre-party

Shambhala Music Festival is continuing its slate of pre-party announcements with one being really close to home: the Bloom Nightclub in Nelson, BC. As always, all artists featured at the pre-parties will be at one of the festival’s six stages.

Sleeveless Records founder, Stylust, is the prominent name on top of the lineup for the event. He’s a Vancouver local that’s been DJ’ing since the late 1990s and brought producing into the mix in the early 2000s. Also performing at the event is Amp Live, a hip-hop producer and DJ hailing from Texas. He’s known for his remixes of Radiohead, Tokyo Police Club, and Jamie Lidell. Interestingly, Wired magazine chose his Radiohead remixes called Rainydayz Remixes as the Best Free Download of the Week in 2008.

Mraki (pronounced “mer-aw-kee”) is an Indigenous queer artist from the Kootenays. Check out a mix of hers on Soundcloud here, via the Audio Social. This is a page that hopes to showcase diverse names from “the west coast underground and beyond.” Howl and MisfortuneCat come together for the couple duo called Puppycat. You can expect to catch them this summer at Shambhala’s Grove stage, alongside pre-party featured artist Mraki.

As has been the case with the prior pre-party announcements, you have a shot at winning two tickets to the now sold out 24th annual Shambhala Music Festival. Prior pre-party locations announced were Calgary, Edmonton and Oregon.

Attend the Nelson, B.C. Shambhala pre-party

Catch Stylust, Amp Live, Mraki, and Puppycat at the Shambhala Pre-party in Nelson at the Bloom Nightclub on June 30th. Tickets range from $27.50 to $38.35. If you’re from out of town, you can bundle your ticket with a hotel stay. These prices for those bundles range from $286.99 to $565.90. Doors open at 9 PM, the event ends at 2 AM.
