Tchami’s return to Seattle was definitely a night for the books. Last Saturday night’s house vibes at the Magnuson Park Hangar 30 were an awesome debut to electronic music’s newfound Seattle venue. We’ve got all the groovy details in case you couldn’t make it out to the dance floor.

Venue
As a new venue to Seattle’s EDM scene, we were anxious to see what White Rabbit Group had planned for this choice of location. We’re pleased to say, for a sold-out show, this was a spot with more than enough space. The venue comes with a ton of free parking, and a building big enough to more than comfortably house the night’s sold-out crowd.
While we arrived earlier and didn’t wait long to enter the venue, as the night went on the wait times did become a little rougher. But once inside, there was a large bar area, free water stations, and both indoor restrooms and outdoor portable restrooms.
It’s wonderful to see a venue include an outdoor area. More bathrooms always seem to be necessary, but the chance at some fresh air is really a treat. We all know how stuffy a sold-out crowd can get, so outdoor space can be a savior to some who get overwhelmed.
Openers
The set list for the night was packed with some names we were hyped to see hit Seattle. Farahry (duo of Faraday and Rohry) started the night off, next up was Masteria, and then finally Blossom was left to get the crowd riled and ready for Tchami.
Each artist brought their best to the Hangar stage, Tchami and the openers alike. Blossom had us boogying at the show, and eager to see what she had in store for the rest of the night with her afterparty set at Vue Lounge.

Tchami takes the stage
Although the sound system slightly struggled, the audience was amped for Tchami nonetheless. The bass was a bit overpowering, causing some of the tone to be less prominent. If you know Tchami you know he’s not on the mic too much, but when Blossom had something to say, sadly some words went unheard.
Even with the sound quality being a little less than perfect, we were stilled happy to see a stage setup with lights and LED panels for Tchami’s amazing visuals. His signature known theme of stain glass patterns were amplified beautifully throughout the Hangar.

After listening to Tchami’s sets at Ultra and Red Rocks, we were happy to hear some of that same fire brought to the Seattle set. His signature deep/future house sound was just what we were looking for on an almost rain-free Easter Eve. The sold out show was a stunning debut for EDM events at Magnuson.

White Rabbit Group has assured this is only the beginning of dancing the nights away at the Hangar. A huge shout out to White Rabbit Group for their Hangar 30 debut! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this venue in the future.
Overall, despite some sound issues and entry line times, the show was a solid start to what will hopefully be a regular setting for Seattle EDM events. We were delighted to attend WRG’s first hosting inside the Hangar, and Tchami was the perfect launch!
