Musclebound Boise-based dubstep artist Kai Wachi has just released his latest EP, Skins.
Kai Wachi has been electrifying listeners and audiences since 2012. After being signed to Kannibalin records, he caught people’s ears with his gargantuan basses and dreamy textures.
In the almost decade since then, he has gone from a relatively unknown DJ to a world-renowned entertainer. Kai Wachi has developed a massive catalogue of genre-bending tunes and festival bangers, including hits like his 2016 classic Demons and the 2018 single Luvsick.
The Skins EP is without a doubt some of our favorite works from Kai Wachi. It features the two recently released singles All your lies and Eternity, and is overflowing with anthemic melodies and heart-wrenching harmonies. With tracks featuring phenomenal electronic and vocal artists like Nina Sung and TeZATalks, the EP is unrelenting in the way it can astonish and move listeners.
This is a really refreshing piece to hear from Kai Wachi and it showcases his incredible range of songwriting abilities. These songs show a vulnerability and heartfelt attitude that is seldom seen in the heavy dubstep scene, and we are happy to see it. In our opinion, this is Kai Wachi’s magnum opus… that is, until his next release.
