After a year of no live shows, the Gorge was everything we remembered and more. Not only did we witness a magical night at the most stunning venue in the region, but also watched some new-to-The Gorge artists too.
One of these artists was Last Heroes. The duo made sparks in the dance music community after collaborating and doing official remixes for artists such as Seven Lions and Gryffin. Their masterpieces of Moments and Finding Light brought us all the feel-good music that we needed during quarantine.
Last Heroes is now back in full force, and the duo will be going on tour with Seven Lions and Dabin this fall. We were able to chat with them about their first Gorge experience, new music, and their journey thus far in the dance music scene.

You guys just played Seven Lion’s Chronicles III at The Gorge, tell us about that experience! It is one of our favorite venues in the PNW.
Last Heroes: This was our first time ever going to The Gorge and our first camping festival as well so it was super special. It honestly blew us away and we are already missing it. Everyone there was amazing and we can’t wait to come back again.
Your debut Moments EP was released on Ophelia Records in 2019. What has it been like being a part of Ophelia Records?
We have always looked up to Seven Lions so getting to be a part of this incredible crew of people has been awesome. They are all super fun people to be around so it makes for some good times. It really feels like being part of a family, from the people to the music, and everything else.
Last Heroes took over our attention in the past 2 years, what was the moment that you realized this project had really taken off?
We started getting booked for some pretty big shows in 2019 and we went from opening shows for like 50 people to 3,000, so that was a huge moment for us. We also released Finding Light in 2020, our biggest project yet, and seeing all the support this past year has blown us away.
For some of your newer fans, can you share some of your musical influences? What genre(s) of music inspire your sound?
We have been really inspired by indie/pop music recently so bands like COIN, Novo Amor, and Valley are huge inspirations for us. Our friends like Seven Lions, Dabin, and Said The Sky continue to inspire us as well.
Your track ‘Don’t Wanna Fall’ with Hailene and Seven Lions, how did this collaboration happen? And speaking of Hailene, we love the new remix of ‘Glass Heart!’
Thank you!! We sent Jeff some demos over email back in 2019 and he was super into one in particular, and that song became Don’t Wanna Fall. It was a really special moment for us.
We are so excited to welcome you back to Seattle on 10/8 with Dabin. What are you most looking forward to on this tour?
Honestly getting to spend time with our friends and see the country. Getting to explore and see the world after being stuck at home for so long is something that we will never take for granted. We also have a lot of fun/cool live show edits we have been working on!
Any upcoming new music and collaborations that fans should look forward to?
We just released our new EP, Threads, so we don’t have anything that we can talk about just yet, but we totally have some big songs/collabs in the works. We’re always working on new things and can’t wait to share what’s next!
Do you have any last words for your Seattle and PNW fans?
Getting to meet so many fans at The Gorge was such a special experience and it’s crazy how much energy everyone brought. Excited to see everyone again soon!
