‘Tim Bergling – The Official Biography” confirmed a release date of November 2, 2021, as announced upon Germany Apple Books page. Known as one of the most prolific DJs of his time, Tim Bergling molded a whole generation of EDM. As Avicii, he spoke through his music to his fans, founding the revolution that sent the genre worldwide. Despite his stardom Tim fought with mental health issues, unfortunately leading to his tragic death in 2018.
The biography was first pitched in 2019, by Albert Bonniers, a Swedish publishing house who bought the retelling rights. Soon after the written record was undertaken by Swedish journalist Måns Mosesson. An award-winning journalist, “who was close to Avicii,” finding connection in conversing with those closest in the young DJ’s life.
Readers will follow Mosesson as he searches for clues in talks with close friends, family members, and companions of the late luminary. The publisher shares that Moseson’s text, “is the honest and sensitive portrait of one of the world’s most popular stars of our time, who shaped an entire generation.”
While the loss of Avicii still hangs heavy on our hearts, his legend will never die. In the wake of his death Avicii’s parents established the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charity to help those struggling with mental health issues and support suicide prevention. As with each of Tim’s post-humorous releases, all book proceeds will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation.
