One of the last standing PNW festivals expected to take place summer 2020 is officially canceled. Bass Canyon, Excision’s multi-day festival held at the Gorge, is the latest to be postponed. Event organizers held out hope over the last few months due to its late August date, but the pandemic is still surging. With no vaccine and the inherent safety risk of large gatherings, Excision had no choice but to pull the plug. You can read the full statement below released on socials this morning.

As the statement announces, ticket holders can either hold onto their tickets for next year’s festival or request a full refund. Refunds must be requested by July 27th. For more information on refunds and the 2021 event, visit basscanyon.com/2021.
Excision’s other flagship festival, Lost Lands, held late September in Ohio is cancelled as well. Still, it’s not clear when festivals can resume. With some reports speculating it’ll be next fall until large concerts will kick off again, virtually every festival of 2020 has been cancelled or postponed.
Bass Canyon will now be August 20-22 2021. As disappointing as the latest cancellation is, Excision chose responsibly putting the health and safety of headbangers first.
