Everyone is raving about the lineup release of the Electric Blockaloo music festival. Electric Blockaloo is a digital music festival inside of the video game, Minecraft, and has called itself the “the biggest digital music festival in history.” We’re starting to believe that, after seeing the biggest lineup we have ever witnessed.
The digital festival will take place on June 25-28 on Minecraft. With a lineup this big, there is a price. Tickets are sold for $10, with VIP tickets available starting at $15. For full ticket details, you can click here. However, 5% of the festival revenue will go towards charities.
With 65 stages, some of our favorite performers include, Paris Hilton, Robin Schulz, Ekali, Claptone, Zhu, Nitti Gritti, Jauz, Doctor P, Gryffin, Steve Aoki, and 850 artists total. To see a full list of the lineup, grab a magnifying glass and check out the flyer below.
Recently, Twitch announced that DJ sets on their platform will be banned due to rights and royalty issues. With that, artists are trying to find ways to keep in touch with their fans until the live shows can happen again. Electric Blockaloo is the first huge event that announced they are working with Mixcloud to make sure artists are getting paid for their music in the stream while providing fans with a show they will never forget.
Is this the new normal? Admissions to the event plus artists getting paid seems like we are heading towards a semblance of normality. We have a feeling more collaborations will happen between online digital games and digital festivals. We already have a taste of the Marshmello and Fortnite show, so we are excited to see who’s up next.
