Charlotte De Witte began hosting a weekly mix series in March 2019. De Witte was a resident for exactly 12 weeks. For many fans this mix series was exclusive to BBC radio subscribers only. You had to either hear it live on BBC radio, or find an unofficial replay. This was of course until March 2020, when she generously uploaded 12 BBC mixes onto her YouTube and Soundcloud pages.

We’ve been big fans of De Witte since her 2018 Mainstage Tomorrowland performance. Thank you Charlotte for uploading these mixes! As we listened from episode 1 until 12 we noticed variety in her darkness. Although we primarily listened after midnight, we still found her mixes enjoyable in the day.

Our favorite thing about mixes is their ability to showcase a musician’s live skills. In De Witte’s mixes she showcases her mastery of the CDJ. Fans are glued to her sets because she has found variety in the techno genre. One of the biggest complaints about techno is the repetition, Charlotte De Witte breaks the mold.
