Danny Howland, aka SVDDEN DEATH, took the stage at the EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon ready to break some necks. In an awesome turn of events, fans got to witness a surprise SVDDEN DEATH VOYD set. Also known as The Prince of Evil, SVDDEN DEATH has been using VOYD as his dubstep-centric voice for over two years now. This character goes beyond beats. With a signature skull and antler mask, VOYD delivers a unique persona on stage. Pure. Rage.
What started as a side project has grown into an experience unlike anything else in the scene. This… creature… now levitates, lures fans into a “blood cave,” and throws (fake) severed heads at shows.
Over the past couple months, new storylines have been brewing. Danny’s concepts met talented visual artists and the creativity took off. After EDC Las Vegas, Danny and his team dropped the first official VOYD music video.
Reaching out to film/photography duo Schaffer Brady and Holly Singh, the team executed a deliciously creepy video. Deep in the forest, VOYD unleashes his vengeance on a captive. Will she survive? Watch to find out!
Brady and Singh both specialize in EDM concert photography, and have worked shows in Oregon and Washington. The VOYD music video challenged the team to create a short horror film. And what better place to film any and everything horror than right here in the Pacific Northwest?
According to an Instagram post, those ghoulish trees were captured somewhere near Seattle, Washington.
