A string of anime-style music videos have popped up on YouTube over the past three months. Blending lovable characters with head-banging music, these videos celebrate a collaboration between Arknights and the electronic dance music community.
Arknights by Yostar, China’s leading game development company, boasts a major fan base in Hawaii, Washington, and California. Beautiful anime-style art fills the tower-defense mobile game. On top of that, Yostar has teamed up with some of EDM’s finest to bring top-notch tunes into the game.
Most recently, Yellow Claw landed a gig to produce original music for Arknights’ new event, ‘Heart of Surging Flame.’ The single, After It All, dropped late last month. In this event, characters escape a broken reality to enjoy a leisurely getaway. The music video, which dropped in early May, depicts The Obsidian Festival.
Back in April, QUIX released an animated lyric video for his single, Survive.
The new hit, “Survive” is the first video game collaboration for QUIX – a perfect fit for the edgy game and music video.
– Dim Mak, Record Label
Also from Dim Mak, Bear Grillz gets the fun started with his single Save Us From Ourselves. The music video, released in March, depicts high intensity action sequences. Enjoy a taste of the dark, post-apocalyptic world of Arknights.
With a three-month streak of new releases, we’re expected more great things from the Arknights soundtrack. Will more anime-style music videos drop in the coming months? We can only hope so.
