GRiZ’s Bangers[5].zip is the latest installment in an epic EP series

GRiZ is back at it with the next installment of his Bangers series! This time, we have three new polished tracks in the form of Bangers[5].zip. Starting early last year, GRiZ has been releasing Bangers EPs that showcase his ability to create anthemic EDM tunes that stun audiences at his live shows.

In proper Bangers fashion, this fifth EP opens with the most anthemic track of them all, The Baddest. It’s a straight-to-the-point dubstep jam-heavy on the bass and wobbles.

My Friends and I, Pt. 3, as the name suggests, is the newest version of a song that’s appeared on earlier GRiZ projects. Originally appearing on GRiZ’s 2016 album Good Will Prevail, part two, released on the Ride Waves album, added rappers Snoop Dogg and ProbCause to the mix. Part three taps ProbCause once again, while adding singer Chrishira Perrier. The song is an upbeat celebration of friendship backed by quintessential GRiZ funk melodies. Stick around for the second half, which completely changes the beat into some seriously cerebral drops.

Closing out the EP is Spaceship Ride. For this one, Griz offers up his own vocals over some psychedelic dubstep wobbles, infused with funk. This one best represents the album artwork too.
