Monstercat-releasing duo KUURO announced a split this past week. The electro-leaning pair first debuted on Monstercat in 2016, and released a number of singles and collaborations over the past few years. One partner, Jordin Post of the Netherlands, announced he’ll be pursuing a trance sound on the popular Anjunabeats. In a heartfelt, Post warmly walks his fans through his decision making process and wishes the best for partner Luke Shipstad. Watch the video announcement below:

The other half of KUURO, Luke Shipstad, is a PNW native from Seattle, Washington. He’s maintained that he’ll steer the KUURO project, and thanks fans for the outpouring of support. As of April 29th, Luke announced he’s moving forward with a ton of new music for KUURO.
As for Jordin Post, his forthcoming self-titled solo venture is moving full steam ahead. No stranger to the trance world, Post formerly released under the Juventa project on Anjunabeats, and Armin Van Buren’s co-founded Armada Music label. Although monster hits like 1000 Cuts, Doji, and Afraid of the Dark will be missed, it’s safe to say much more is in store. A relief that KUURO splits on good terms, both members have the ability to freely pursue producing music they’re passionate about—a win-win for everyone.
