One of the music industry’s most legendary bass artists, Bassnectar, has new music in store for his faithful fans. Revealed in a tweet this past week comes news of Bassnectar’s exciting new project, The Lockdown Mixtape: INSIDE FOR THE PEOPLE. We’re thrilled that Bassnectar is spending his quarantine in the lab brewing up the gift of new music for us all! With a release date of May 1st, fans wont have to wait long for the series first installment. In the light of the world’s current quarantine lockdown, Bassnectar’s latest mixtape series couldn’t have come at a better time. Nearly ten months have passed since he graced us with TEMPO OF DREAMS, his most recent release. Now Bassnectar’s loyal fans will have new tunes to hold them over while practicing safe distancing protocols. While little is said as to what awaits within The Lockdown Mixtape: INSIDE FOR THE PEOPLE we’re ready for new Bassnectar at all times. Especially since his new mixtape series will preview cuts from his ALL COLORS album, coming this summer.
More good news is set to follow the release of Bassnectar’s new mixtape series. Fans are advised to stay tuned for more info on upcoming events, including an interactive online listening experience. While we await full details from the man himself, there’s even more exciting news for his devotees. Despite his strong opposition against recording his live sets, Bassnectar is showing he’s capable of change. In a tweet earlier this month he shocked the world by sharing that all of his live sets over the past few years were recorded in high resolution.
yes yes yes yes there is tonnnns of music en route, mixtapes, an entire secret album [restructuring schedules but it's incoming], also we recorded every set [hi res A/V] for the last few years so maybe we can share some of that too 🙂 #onethingaboutmusicwhenithitsyoufeelnopain

Although no further information is available on the release of these nostalgic sets, we’re just happy to have more music to look forward to. Gifting his fans one more hopeful gift to get through these difficult times is a very Bassnectar thing to do.
