With the continuing onset of quarantining becoming a normality for the foreseeable future across the world, virtual festivals have multiplied rapidly as music lovers everywhere attempt to adjust to self-distancing and home isolation.
The Beyond Wonderland livestream hosted by Insomniac this past weekend was particularly popular, generating over 3.5 million views along with the Cardinal Artists roster which had a fundraiser generating over 20K for COVID-19 relief.
There’s no doubt that this does speak vastly to how much influence the music community can truly have in making the world a better place.
And as we move forward in this time of uncertainty, it is important to remember and participate in the things that make us the happiest and support the artists who truly have had an impact on our lives so that we can continue to get through this together. And in that spirit, we want to ensure that DMNW provides you with updates on some of the biggest online festival announcements coming up in the future so we can all take a little break from the craziness and have a moment of much needed release.
Here’s some of the online festivals coming up in the near future which will feature lineups that in our opinion rival the best schedule of artists in any lineup from this last 2019 festival season:
Digital Mirage Online Music Festival, hosted by Proximity and Brownies & Lemonade
This event will showcase some gigantic household names in the EDM community, including festival mainstays like Alison Wonderland, an Avicii tribute set from Sandro Cavassa, a Dabin b2b Said the Sky (AKA Dab the Sky as melodic bass lovers affectionately call this duo), Kaskade, Gryffin, Louis the Child, and more. Check out the full tentative lineup below:

Reconnect: A Global Music Series, hosted by Beatport and Twitch
ReConnect will be 24-hour marathon event starting at 1 p.m. Friday, and will include headlining DJ sets from artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL, Nora En Pure, Griz, Bonobo, Carl Cox, Tokimonsta, Nicole Moudaber, and more. The set times were just posted on Twitter, so you can already begin to plan out your can’t miss sets that will all be streamed recording studios or the artist’s private homes and DJ booth setups.

Countdown: Virtual Rave-A-Thon, hosted by Insomniac
Following up on it’s success of last weekend with millions of view, the Insomniac team will be back to bring you another impressive lineup for March 27th – 28th event, taking place at a low key secret location in LA. This event will feature seriously talented artists including: Mat Zo, Peekaboo, SNBRN, I_O, Ekali, Medasin, k?d, Tisoki, Lost Kings, Flosstradamus, Phantoms, and more.

Twitch: Stream Aid 2020, hosted by Twitch
Wake up on Saturday morning, and starting at 9:00 a.m. on twitch.tv/twitch this Stream Aid event is a 12-hour charity event benefiting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO powered by the United Nations Foundation – featuring some of the biggest names in gaming, music, and sports, all with the intention of creating something positive to support others in these stressful and uncertain times.
This event is definitely star-studded with likes of Drew Taggart from The Chainsmokers, Lost Kings, Ellie Goulding, LAUV, Diplo, Krewella, Die Antwoord, and a wide variety of characters outside of the EDM world during breaks in the action.
There are many more artists, sport’s personalities, and celebrities that will be involved in this as well, so this benefit will definitely include something for everyone. See the full variety of acts below, it definitely boasts an incredibly impressive collection of influencers and we would assume this will be a high-viewer stream based on all the insane talent involved:
This event will only be the beginning of a week’s worth of fundraising opportunities on Twitch where the community can continue to host their own streams and sponsor their our fundraisers for the cause.
With so many options, it’s difficult to pick and choose what to tune into, but overall these events are sending an undeniable message of hope to fans everywhere through this pandemic that life continues to go on, and that above all, we can overcome this together if we just hunker down and enjoy the comfort of our own’s homes so the world can heal.
And despite the craziness, thankfully artists and organizers haven’t forgotten about their fans and will continue putting on events like these in the future, DNMW will be here as well through it all giving you all your options so we can experience a little joy and PLUR even when we are apart.
