The internet is abuzz this week after the Coachella festival finally dropped its’ 2020 lineup. On the weekends of April 10 and 19, tens of thousands of festival-goers will travel to Indio, California to catch some of the biggest artists of our time. Spanning multiple genres, Coachella always has something for everyone. This year, the official headliners will be Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean, and Travis Scott. And among them are countless other acts that you can’t miss!
Still, dance music is relatively underrepresented at Coachella. In 2016, Calvin Harris was the first dance music artist to headline the festival. That being said, we decided to highlight all of the dance music artists on the 2020 lineup.
Dance music on the rise
Calvin Harris will be playing Coachella again as well as dance music powerhouses Flume, Disclosure, and Fatboy Slim. Joel Zimmerman — best known as Deadmau5 — will be playing under his side project called Testpilot. Included in this lineup is also the Pacific Northwest-native Whipped Cream, who took the EDM scene by storm in 2019. Madeon, Jai Wolf, and Griz will also be joining the roster this year, and they made it onto our list of best EDM albums of 2019. Below we compiled the full list of dance music acts on the Coachella 2020 lineup, split by the day they’re playing.
