Ultra Music Festival released phase one of its lineup last week. With just the first phase out so far, this year’s lineup promises to be incredible. Featuring both live and DJ sets, and previously unplayed B2Bs, Ultra looks like it will deliver again.
Held annually in Miami, Ultra boasts its 22nd annual showing. Attendance has ranked as much as 355,000 back for the 15th anniversary for one of the most popular music festivals in the country.
This year, Flume and Gesaffelstein will be among two of the live headliners for the festival. Zedd is also bringing The Orbit to Miami as a headlining act. If you were lucky enough to see his major headlining tour in either Portland or Seattle, this should be a great set to watch.
The first lineup release phase also includes a hearty selection of house and trance artists, with big-name artists Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, and Amelie Lens. While Eric Prydz and Amelie Lens have yet to play too much in the Pacific Northwest, we enjoyed as Above & Beyond took their Group Therapy tour to the Gorge this year.
Something unique about this year’s lineup is the number of B2B sets. The Alchemy Tour in the Gorge this October featured Gud Vibration’s set with Slander and NGHTMRE, and they both destroyed the set. Ultra Miami schedule both the artists in B2B’s, but this time with different acts. Jauz B2B NGHTMRE and Slander B2B Kayzo take over Ultra this year for debut sets that promise to demolish the state of Florida.
We look forward to the additional phases of lineup releases to come over the next couple of months and hope that these artists continue touring the Pacific Northwest.
