Have you ever discovered non-EDM artists from EDM artists? After the track Happier was released with Marshmello and Bastille, many Marshmello fans became Bastille fans and Vise Versa. The crossing path of genres is a beautiful thing. Bastille’s Dooms Day Tour stopped in Seattle at the Wamu Theatre last week and we got the chance to attend, and understand, why the British Indie Pop Band is so loved.
The show opened with Joywave, the perfect opening act to get the crowd pumping for Bastille. The crowd had fans of all different ages. Bastille, and music really does bring people together! Bastille put on a colorful, and energetic show, playing their hit tracks, Bad Decision, Good Grief, and of course, Pompeii. The lead singer, Dan, was filled with energy and got the crowd involved the whole hour and a half of the show.
But our favorite moment? When they played Happier! The crowd was dancing and singing every word of the song. It is a completely new perspective seeing Marshmello playing the song on his deck versus watching Bastille singing it live.
See below for some photos from the show. All we have to say is, branch out sometimes and see a non-EDM show!
