DJ Mag releases its top 50 festivals of 2019

Can you think of any better source to find the best festivals in the world from anyone other than the top artists themselves? The team at DJ Mag is tried and true for asking the public’s opinion via polls to give us the best information around. However, they’ve decided to switch things up a little; they went for best reference out there, the artists, for the Top 50 festivals of 2019. Artists from all over the music spectrum were asked to put in their say, to ensure everyone’s music style and taste would be appreciated.

Rather than ask for public opinion this time however, we put the questions to the DJs themselves, asking hundreds of jocks from the Top 100 DJs, Alternative Top 100 DJs (which ran for the first time last year in partnership with Beatport), and a huge list of others from right across the dance music spectrum — from house to techno, drum & bass to hardstyle — to make sure the list was as comprehensive as possible.

Attributing to this new idea, the artist’s votes were kept totally anonymous to make sure that the DJ’s could be as honest as we want them to be. With that being said, here is their final list of the top 50 festivals of 2019. You’ll find a few local festivals that made this top tier list, going to show that we’re lucky to have some of the best vibes around.

Most of these events you might know and already love, but a few could surprise you! If you have ever dreamed of making a festival bucket list this could be the best place to start. Traveling overseas to experience music in some of the most gorgeous places in the world has truly never sounded so good.
