Ever After Music Festival, which will take place in Toronto, Ontario, will defy typical festival security regulations and allow up to 10 grams of marijuana per attendee this coming summer in June. Unlike U.S.-based music festivals, lighting up will be a non-issue, and festival goers can feel free to openly carry and smoke on festival property, serving as a test scenario for the whole inclusion of this type of legal allowance setting a precedence for future events.
After the complete legalization of marijuana in 2018 in Canada, this event will be a welcoming experience, but a responsible one, with specific areas mimicking typical cigarette smoking sections. According to curators, the weed also must be pre-rolled in order for a fan to enjoy inside the event as well. However, attendees will be allowed to possess up to 28 grams of either pre-rolled or loose leaf cannabis in the festival campgrounds.
It’s important for people to know, however, that the sale of cannabis is not legal within the event. The festival representatives have been clear that this would result in issues with the police.
This year’s Ever After, which has all the same vibes of Lost Lands with a killer bass lineup, which will feature performances featuring Excision, Illenium, Kill The Snails (Kill the Noise B2B Snails), Zomboy, and more…the fest is set to take place on June 7-9 and tickets are still available, here.
