Another B.C. festival is having a hard time finding a venue and is postponing because of it. Electric Love Music Festival has announced it will be postponing its 2019 edition due to troubles finding a new venue. In a statement, the festival says it’s having difficulty finding a venue as good or better than the previous one. Director of Operations for Electric Love, Oliver Plé, says the festival is committed to finding a new space.
“We are disappointed to have to postpone to next year. But, we are fully committed to bringing back this truly magical weekend in its future forever home,” says Plé.
The providers of the previous venue and parties involved have been in discussion, and are unable to reach an agreement. The Electric Love team says they’re committed to providing its festival attendees with the best and safest experiences.
A short list for potential 2020 venues is being made, and the festival will discuss those options with its audience. Owner and operator of the festival, Dennis Nukina, says the festival is thankful to those who have helped it over the years.
“We would like to thank the Cheam First Nation for hosting us over the last four years, it has been an incredible partnership that has given us and all of our attendees experiences that we will never forget. This is a bump in the road, but certainly not the end of Electric Love Music Festival,” says Nukina.
