Porter Robinson played two Virtual Self shows in Los Angeles the last week on at the Shrine Auditorium. Ticket sales for both nights amounted to around 10,000 tickets total, with 5,000 each night.
The music producer added a third show at the small warehouse in downtown Los Angeles on Friday. The show consisted of 3 hours of neotrance / classic trance / hard techno / jungle / hardcore / speedcore at 1720 Los Angeles, California. One of the biggest highlights of his set was the debut of the latest Virtual Self single, titled God Rays. The venue could only fit around 700-800 people. Given the limited amount of tickets available, Porter predicted that it would be hard for fans to get tickets.
So on Twitter, he made a post to his fans announcing that he bought 100 tickets himself before it sold out to give away to fans who actually love his music.
i knew this would be hard to get into so i bought 100 tickets before it sold out to make sure the people who actually love these sounds can go
please tag someone you know who would love to hear 3 hours of classic trance / hardtechno / jungle / hardcore / speedcore / virtual self https://t.co/B6NBG3h7g5
