The Gorge Amphitheater is an amazing music venue. Sitting on its infamous grassy hill, the Columbia River snaking through an endless desert of towering canyons- it will take your breath away. Don’t take it from us though.
The Gorge, located 160 miles east of Seattle, is widely regarded as one of the best in the world, receiving praise from fans, artists, and respected media outlets- such as Rolling Stone. Despite all the fame it receives, there hasn’t been a track named in its honor, a distinction its’ cousin, Red Rocks, gets all the time. That is, until now.
Jason Ross, one of the bright talents on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats record label, has released the second single off his forthcoming EP, and it is dedicated to our beloved Gorge!
Inspired by Above & Beyond’s massive ABGT250 celebration held at the venue back in 2017, Ross teams up with Seattle’s own Dimibo to unleash one of the hottest trance anthems of the early new year, appropriately titled The Gorge. Take a listen:
Dimibo’s signature psychedelic stamp is noticeable the moment you hit play. Ross takes over with his uplifting melodies, not long after, before those psy kicks slap you in the face again!
While it would be fun to dance to The Gorge at The Gorge, we’re stuck in Winter and there’s not much going on over yonder. You can, however, check Jason Ross in action at Aston Manor, in Seattle, Thursday, January 31st! We’d be shocked if he doesn’t play this track. Like, drop dead shocked.
Tickets to the 22+ show are still available, starting at $20. Jason Ross’s Rooms EP is currently slated for a January 25th release. You can, however, stream The Gorge on all major music platforms.
