1. Dubstep is Constantly Evolving

Dubstep Word Cloud

Whether you know it or not, dubstep is continuing to grow and change on a daily basis. Offshoots like glitch-hop have added soul and live instrumentation, while artists like Seven Lions and KOAN Sound are turning bass music into an easy-listening and transformative experience. The death knell for any genre is a resistance to changing with the times. Dubstep though continues to grow and expand on the backs of incredible artists, who in turn beget even more incredible artists.

As long as people continue to innovate and foster talent, it will continue to live on. The dubstep you here today is wildly different than the kind you heard even a year ago, and that dubstep is almost unrecognizable from what was being played out in the years prior. Keep an eye on bass music as it continues to develop, because you can rest assured it’s not going anywhere.
