[divider]GALANTIS[/divider]
We finally get Galantis. The long wait is nearly over, after many were disappointed to miss the Swedish duo’s Northwest debut on the cancelled second night of FreakNight 2014. While we were bummed to not catch them then, it may have been a blessing in disguise. Now we’ll get to enjoy their addicting blend of progressive house at The Gorge. Adding to the festivities will be an album full of new tunes at Galantis’ disposal, with the duo’s debut studio album Pharmacy released via Atlantic Records on June 8th.
Galantis were one of the breakout acts in all of dance music in 2014, with their Seafoxchella set taking over Coachella last year, and hit after hit coming out of their studio. But now, with an album under their belt and The Gorge at their back, we’re betting that their set at Paradiso 2015 will more than make up for missing them last year. They’ll also be performing at EDC – Las Vegas 2015 this summer, so if EDC is in your plans, make sure Galantis is, too!
[divider]HAYWYRE[/divider]
The list of artists who are widely considered ‘up and coming’ who are performing at Paradiso is incredibly impressive, and showcases the work and prowess of those at USC Events putting the lineup together. No other artist may represent this fact better than Haywyre. Also known as Martin Vogt, the Indiana-native has been releasing tunes since 2012, but it’s his latest work, Two Fold: Pt. I, that has drawn him the most attention. Releasing the majority of his work via Monstercat, Haywyre’s blend of dance music and classical jazz, a combination that suits the classically trained pianist very well, is great for any type of music enjoyment.
Whether it’s headphones, in the car, or live and in-person, Haywyre’s brand of dance music is something everyone can buy-in to. He’s already toured with the likes of Mat Zo and Gramatik, and after a 2015 full of festival performances, we don’t doubt that there’s plenty more in the pipeline for Haywyre.
[divider]Ghastly[/divider]
Young and exciting artists make up a big chunk of the Paradiso lineup we’re most excited to see, and Ghastly is very much included in that group. Making his Northwest debut, Ghastly is an artist very much on the rise, who’s going to be one of the break-out artists of the year by the time 2015 is through. He’s worked hard and done everything he could to get to this point in his career, living out of his van while trying to make his name as a producer and DJ. Swallowing his pride and ending up back home, the man also known as David Lee Crow gave L.A. one more shot, and after becoming a promoter at Exchange, earned a residency at the club.
He’s since continued to grow his name and share his unique genre-bending styles with the world, and when he performs at The Gorge, we’ll be there. And two years from now, when he’s one of the most popular dance music acts around, we’ll be bragging about it, too.

[divider]Snails[/divider]
One of the ‘duh’ inclusions on our list, Montreal-based Snails is one of the artists that puts this year’s Paradiso lineup a notch above the rest. One of the break-out acts of the last 18 months, Snails has slimed his away through clubs and festivals throughout North America and beyond. His unique style of bass-heavy tunes is the type of ingenuity that labels and fans alike beg for. While he’s been performing and spreading his sound, many others have as well, as his tunes have been heavily featured in the sets of bass music figureheads from Skrillex to Excision to Datsik and beyond.
He’s got more in his shell, too, as he released his latest EP, #FREETHEVOMIT, on June 10th, and it’s more of the high-quality blend of trap, dubstep, and ‘vomitstep’ we’ve become accustomed to from Snails. Thankfully, we’ve had our fair-share of Snails in the Northwest since his star has started to shine brighter, with performances at FreakNight 2014, Foundation Nightclub, and now at Paradiso 2015. Snails will also be performing at EDC – Las Vegas 2015 for those going slightly south for Festival Season, and however you get the opportunity to catch Snails this summer, we advise that you take it.
