DMNW will be attending Shambhala 2015 en masse this summer, bringing a small Seattle-based PLUR army to the ranch. After checking out the lineup, it’s easy to see why. A ridiculous compilation of artists, Shambhala Music Festival puts together a lineup any dance music fan can enjoy. Big names, up-and-comers, fan-favorites, legendary DJs, a mystery headliner, and more make Shambhala a ‘bucket-list’ festival for every Northwest raver. Past Shambhala lineups will make you wish you’d attended every year, which may very well happen if you go just once. This year is no different, with mentions of Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Zomboy, and Excision merely scratching the surface of the six-stage lineup. [divider]PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL – Pemberton, BC[/divider]
A lineup that merits multiple shouts of “(insert artist name here), too?!” is generally a good sign, and we’re still tallying our shouts from the Pemberton Music Festival 2015 lineup. Similar to our reaction to their insane 2014 lineup, this year has our undivided attention. There’s plenty of great artists from dance music and beyond, offering something for everyone. Along with Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, and Weezer; Tiësto, Bassnectar, Dada Life, Flux Pavilion, and Jack Ü’s ‘Full Flex Express Tour’ put Pemberton in a class all on its own. A great collection of comedians added to the jaw-dropping musical lineup is another reason we’re planning multiple trips across the border this summer.
