Last summer we profiled several Northwest artists that dance music fans should be following, and we’re at it again in 2015. We’re blessed to have a beautiful bounty of local acts who help create the sounds of our incredible community. Whether it’s club shows or festival performances, Northwest artists are vital additions to the impressive list of global acts making their way to our corner of the continent. While the bigger names often get the most attention, local artists have been known to steal the spotlight, and it’s safe to say they’re deserving of far more praise.
So, we highlighted several of the Northwest’s top artists that are having their way with 2015. This article doesn’t mention each and every artist that deserves attention, but these local favorites are Northwest artists that you should be following.

There were a few artists who didn’t make the list who we wanted to take a second to shine some light on as well. We’d be fools to not mention local legend DARRIUS, who has proven his worth more times than we can count and will be performing at Paradiso 2015. He was the debut artist for the re-boot of our very own Elevation Radio, and we couldn’t imagine a better representative of the Northwest dance music scene. Seattle-native Treyis is also an artist to keep an eye on, despite his relatively quiet 2015. He’s released one new tune this year, a remix of Astronaut’s Champions featuring Harry Brooks Jr., and it’s all the melodic dubstep you could ever ask for. He’s got more coming this year, and we’ll be ready when it arrives. Maybe we’ll even get a sneak peek when he goes B2B with fellow Northwest-favorite R0ME at Paradiso 2015!
Another Seattle-native, Eliminate, has released several remixes this year, and we can’t wait for his next batch of originals. A member of last year’s list, he released one of our favorite EPs of 2014 and even got to work with the legendary Armanni Reign.
Lastly, we want to give a huge hug and “see you soon” to a Northwest artist we will forever follow: Troy Crowder. The Yakima-native will be heading off to First Class Dive School in June, and will be assigned to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba upon graduation. The Deep Sea Diver has been in the United States Navy since 2007, bringing an entirely different angle to the concept of ‘Descent into Darkness’.
His ‘Descent into Darkness’ series is one of our favorites at DMNW, and the local house artist has impressed many more. He played at the Gorge during Paradiso 2014, and alongside The M Machine, Benny Benassi, Blasterjaxx, Joel Fletcher, Adrian Lux, Jeremy Oleander, Fehrplay, Elephante, and more at local club shows. Unfortunately, his last show for the time being is coming up. Join us for Troy’s farewell descent at Q Nightclub on May 30th, as Jody Wisternoff and Martin Roth bring Anjunadeep to the new ‘Madness’ theme night at Q.
WE LOVE YOU, TROY!
